Mike LeMay
Born in New Hampshire in 1949 to a carpenter/cabinet maker, I began working with wood at five years old. Beginning as a laborer at age 12, my whole life has been about the construction trades. I moved to Alaska permanently in 1994, and although I longed to live near Kachemak Bay, I had to work in Anchorage for several years before realizing my Alaskan dream.

Beginning construction of the Good Karma Inn in 1997 and completing it in the spring of 2002, I opened the doors to a new career as an innkeeper. The 2025 season will mark my 23rd year in the Bed and Breakfast (B&B) business. Of utmost importance to me is my ability to live and work here in the majestic setting of Kachemak Bay, the Kenai mountains, five glaciers, and to share it with our visitors. Presently, I don’t feel that I own this land as much as I feel that I now instead belong to this land. Please visit and see what I mean.
